We meet at the city ramp next to Monroe Harbour Marina, at the end of North Palmetto Avenue in Sanford’s historic district. Guests are welcome — come down on a Wednesday evening and introduce yourself.

Driving here
From I-4, take SR-46 east towards downtown Sanford. Follow SR-46 across 17-92 into Sanford’s historic district and continue to Palmetto Avenue. Turn left onto Palmetto and follow it out to Monroe Harbour Marina. The city ramp beside the marina is where members and guests gather.
Launching and parking
The city ramp is right there, and there is parking on site. If you’re bringing a trailer for a regatta, say so when you enter and we’ll tell you where to put it.
Staying over
Visiting crews for the regattas usually stay in the historic district, which is walking distance from the ramp and has the advantage of the Riverwalk and somewhere to eat afterwards.
First time
What to expect on a Wednesday
No sign-up, no fee, no need to call ahead. This is genuinely the whole procedure.
Get to the ramp
Find the race committee gathering near the boat ramp and say you’d like to sail. That’s the magic phrase.
Check the door
The evening’s course goes up on the east door of the clubhouse and on Facebook. Once it’s posted it doesn’t change.
Start when you like
No gun and no committee boat. Your boat crosses the line somewhere in the window and starts its own timer.
Post the time, then ashore
Elapsed time goes into vuduwave.com/lmsa from the dock, then it’s scoring, awards and the rum draw.
Using the ramp
The downtown Sanford ramp has six ramps for powerboats and larger sailboats, plus a small-boat ramp at the east end wide enough for two vehicles at once.
Please rig in the trailer parking area and only then bring your boat down, so the ramp stays clear for everyone else launching and retrieving.

Distances are to the race venue. When a regatta has negotiated rates they’re posted on that event’s page — otherwise book direct.

Higgins House is walking distance from the ramp and the Riverwalk, which makes it the pick if you’d rather not drive after prizegiving.
