A lake, a breeze,
and no starting gun.

A member-run, not-for-profit sailing club on Lake Monroe. We race every Wednesday evening from March to October — you start when you like inside the window, keep your own time, and post it from the dock. Own a boat or don’t.

You do not need a boat

In every sailing club there are skippers short of crew, and people who would like to be on the water but don’t own a boat. Get to the ramp around 5:30 on a Wednesday, find the race committee, and say so — that is the entire process.

Coming for the first time?

Wear shoes you don’t mind soaking, bring a hat, sunglasses with a strap and a water bottle. You’ll need to sign the liability waiver once for the season. Don’t hesitate to walk up to a boat you like the look of and introduce yourself — most of the time you’ll get an invitation on the spot.
